Voting

From Civ World

(Redirected from Vote)
Jump to: navigation, search

Voting is how civilizations make major decisions that affect all the members, specifically:

  • Adopting a Civic
  • Repealing a Civic
  • Starting a battle against another civilization

When a vote is called, all members of the civilization can see the vote and its progress in the Civ screen.

Voting ends when one side acquires 51% or better of all possible votes in the civilization.

Each member of the civilization gets at least one vote, but members of higher ranks get more, depending on their rank:

  • Lord or Lady rank players get one vote
  • Duke or Duchess rank players get two votes
  • Prince or Princess rank players get three votes
  • The King or Queen of the civilization gets five votes

Players can change their vote freely for as long as the voting phase is active. The only exception to this is the ability of the Political Minister. The Political Minister can veto votes unless 2:1 in favor.

Whenever the vote ends, the majority will win and the vote will pass or fail immediately. In the case of a vote for an invasion, if it passes the battle will begin instantly.
